Summary
We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. We collect your email address only if you give it to us, and your order details only if you buy a plan.
What we collect and why
Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It’s cookie-free and doesn’t build a profile of you. Our site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
Email: Kit
If you sign up for a free plan or our emails, we send your email address to Kit (ConvertKit LLC), which stores it and sends our emails. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Purchases: Lemon Squeezy
Plans are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. It collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can support your purchase. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
We also add customers to our Kit list, tagged with what they bought, so we can occasionally tell you about related plans. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, and you can opt out at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Affiliate links: Amazon Associates
When you click an affiliate link and land on Amazon, Amazon may set cookies on its own site to attribute any purchase to us. Amazon’s privacy notice applies there. Our site reads your country from a request header to choose the right store, and doesn’t store it.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data in the United States, under safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep data
We keep email subscribers until they unsubscribe. Order records are kept for as long as we need them for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, or object to how we use it. Email us to do so. If you’re unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
